This simple and healthy recipe celebrates one of springs favourite foods, tomatoes. When they are juicy, sweet and ripe, tomatoes are a delicious addition to any meal. The secret to this recipe is making your own Italian Seasoning and grinding it fresh over the tomatoes. Our Roast Cherry Tomatoes can be paired with anything from pasta and rice to your favourite cheese. Just add some fresh, crunchy bread and you have the perfect spring meal!
Ingredients
- 2 cups of cherry tomatoes
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Italian Seasoning in a FinaMill Dried Herbs+ Pod
- Toasted Garlic in a FinaMill Everyday Pod
- Salt in a FinaMill Everyday Pod
- Pepper in a FinaMill Pepper Pod
Ingredients to make Italian Seasoning
- 1 Tbsp. dried basil
- 1 Tbsp. dried thyme
- 1 Tbsp. dried rosemary
- 1 Tbsp. dried marjoram
- 1 Tbsp. dried parsley
- 2 Tbsp. dried oregano
- 1 tsp. red pepper flakes, optional
Instructions To Make Italian Seasoning
- Place all dried herbs into a bowl and mix well.
- Pour mixed herbs into a FinaMill Dried Herbs+ Pod and grind fresh for the recipe.
Instructions to Make the Roast Cherry Tomatoes
- Preheat oven to 220 degrees.
- Drizzle the tomatoes with oil.
- Grind all seasonings on top of the tomatoes.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
- Toss all the ingredients to coat the tomatoes.
- Put the tomatoes in a baking dish or on a baking tray.
- Roast for 15-20 minutes on a top rack in the oven- or until well browned.
- Serve on pasta, rice, or just slathered on bread.
